A few conference and CFP announcements:
- The annual Lilly Conference on College and University Teaching – DC, to be held May 31-June 3 in Bethesda, MD, will explore the theme of “Brain-Based Learning and Teaching.” The deadline for paper proposals is November 25. If you aren’t sure you have anything to present on that theme, take a look at the subthemes here. This is a very good conference, and a lot of people at King’s are doing work worth presenting at it.
- The AAUP, convening its Annual Conference on the State of Higher Education two weeks after Lilly-DC and also in the DC area, invites proposals on various themes. The deadline for proposals is November 18.
- The schedule is already set for a Dec. 8-9, 2011, conference on “The Future of Higher Education,” presented by the Center for Public Scholarship and held at the Tishman Auditorium at The New School for Social Research. The presentations look very promising, and you’ll be hard pressed to find a conference of this quality anywhere with a more reasonable registration fee.
As always, let CELT know if you would like help preparing a conference proposal for work on a pedagogical theme.
