This blog serves as a news and discussion point for CELT, the Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching at King’s College. Like CELT itself, the blog aims primarily to help King’s College faculty members develop as teachers and as scholars of teaching and learning. It also aims to bring CELT’s work to a wider audience of academics at other institutions.
Every week during the academic year, this site will feature one post that aims to generate discussion on some aspect of college teaching (e.g., syllabus design, course evaluations, active learning strategies), as well as briefer notices that call attention to conferences, workshops, new books and research findings, and the like.
The easiest way to keep up to speed with the blog is by subscribing to it. Scroll to the bottom of this page, enter your email address, and click the “Sign me up!” button. Posts will begin to appear more frequently at the end of August. Once they do, please come back and join the discussion!
